Experiments with reacTIVision
reacTIVision is the visual tracking engine used in the reacTable project currently being developed by the Music Technology Group at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
The recently released version 1.3 of reacTIVision features MIDI output. This allows control of applications like Ableton Live that don't speak OSC. The flexibility of reacTIVision allows for complex controller mapping that isn't possible with traditional controllers.
Currently I'm working on some complex mixing setups in Live, and I've written a patch for the MIDI server that allows configuralble controller topologies. Ultimately I'd like to build a configurable system for using reacTIVision as a controller for existing apps with the visual feedback of reacTable. Also, I want a pony.
